about

I first met Greg in 1989, we were the older metal heads getting drunk down on the seafront of our hometown. we was all around the 18-19 years of age mark, as we found out he was only 14. But we didn't care, he sat down with us drank with us all and we fucking rocked out all night to Bathory, Slayer etc
The next day we met up again and he mentioned he was a guitarist, I saw this as an omen as my current band at the time (Succubus) was on the look out for a new lead guitarist.
As you've guessed it he was drafted in straight away and chucked in at the deep end. Greg fitted in well and we soon pieced together our first demo (grounds of Terror). We done a few squat gigs and released our demo on tape and managed to sell several copies.
But in 1990 It all; came to halt and finished due to musical differences, me and Greg wanted to experiment more with punk but the others wouldn't budge.

A year later we started a garage band called Rabid Pagan, basically a crust metal project, we wrote a bunch of tracks (only three remain) basically it started in the garage and ended in the garage. (none the less is was still an awesome experience)

After that I went on to start a crust punk band called Drunk and Greg went off and started Yellowskin.

In 1996 we started up Angelfuck< we recorded our first demo Neurosporasapian (ways of the rotting kind) It got a 4/10 in Metal Hammer which aint bad considering we recorded the whole demo on a karaoke machine. We enjoyed a brief stint on the underground scene with some great 'zine reviews/ interviews etc and featuring on many D.I.Y comp albums.

After a short while Greg departed to do some work with Mr Zippy and to concentrate on his D'I'Y record label Pigman Records.

In 1999 Angelfuck returned with the Dead Devil Doll demo, we recorded all of it in my home studio (The Lair) in one night with several beers.

Shortly afterwards Greg decided for a change of scenery and relocated to Sweden where he eventually officially started up his project band Lucien (whereupon, after lots of hard work they achieved so much complete with international tours)

In 2004 Greg stopped off for a long weekend and we recorded the Country of the Blind demo, at that point it was the heaviest recording to date.

After that we went our separate ways with other music projects but still worked together to promote our work within the underground music scene.

In the end I lost a long time friend of 28 years, he was my best man at my first wedding and godfather to my son. I'll miss the silly fucker, i'll miss the beers we had and the arguments and the violence.

R.I.P mate, see you again some day
